Official school resources in English and other languages
Start with the resource that matches your question. Each card names the language of the original document. The links open official source pages; this directory does not translate or replace their documents.
Check the document language before you open it
Some official pages are in Japanese, while linked PDFs may be available in several languages. A language listed here means that the source page offers a document in that language; it does not mean the entire website or every procedure is translated. Check the document date and ask your municipality for current forms and steps.

Mie International Exchange Foundation (MIEF) links to a municipality-based class map and Japanese-learning resources. Contact each class before going: meeting dates, fees, places and acceptance of adult learners vary.
As checked on 19 October 2026, Mie Prefecture lists a free Zoom class for foreign residents aged 16 or older who live in Mie and can use the internet and Zoom. About 15 places; applicants from areas without a local Japanese class have priority if oversubscribed. Orientation: 4 November. Six Wednesday classes: 11 November–16 December, 18:30–19:30. The listed application deadline is 26 October 2026. Check the Japanese official notice for current availability before applying.
